SLPID Stewardships

Did you know at the Saratoga Lake Boat launch, there is a boat wash station with trained Lake Stewards on-site?  This makes it easy for boaters to prevent and transport aquatic invasive species, which is illegal under the jurisdiction of the NYSDEC.

STOP BY FOR YOUR BOAT WASH AT NO COST AND HELP STOP THE SPREAD.

  1. CLEAN – Remove all visible plants, animals, dirt from boats, trailers, and gear. This can be done by hand but, better yet, at the boat wash station.
  2. DRAIN – Empty all water from your bilge, live wells, bait buckets, and any other containers.
  3. DRY – Allow boat, trailer, and any gear to thoroughly dry before moving to another body of water.
  4. DISPOSE – Of all plant material and unused bait properly in trash receptacles.
